The New Melle Lions Club hosted its annual Kow Pasture Klassic Golf Tournament Fund Raiser on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2012. Nine teams participated, and a great time was had by all. At the end of the day, only five points separated the first and last place teams.
The first place team was Lou’s Crew, with a score of 26–Chris Kelley, Lou Koch, Rustin Colter and Don Meyer. (Picture on Home Page Carousel.)
Second place was won by Fireside “A” Team with a score of 27–Chad Eckelkamp, Terry Bruns, Rhonda DeGeal and Joe Nolkemper.
Two Teams tied for third with a score of 28, The Goat Herders and the T&D Traitors. The T&D Traitors won by a coin toss–Big Pappa Brian Howard, Traitor Rick Barnes, Brianna Dante, Stacy Apple and Kenny Braig.
The Jim Prinsen Award, which is presented to the person voted to have had “the most fun on the course” was won by Chad Eckelkamp (aka Carrie Bruns’ husband.)
The names of other teams participating were Fireside #1 (score 29), the Kow Tippers (31), Poopers Scoopers (29), Pee Wee Drunks (30), Callisto (31), and the Ram Rods (29).
The New Melle Lions Club thanks all who played and supported the event in any way.

Proceeds from the event are used by the Lions Club to help area families in need and the Missouri State School for the Blind at Christmas time.
REMINDER - HOLIDAY AUCTION: The annual Lions Club Holiday Auction will be Wednesday, Nov. 21 at T&D Tavern. Donations of auction items can be dropped off the week of the event. Proceeds for that event also go to area families and the School for the Blind. Please plan to come and spend a fun evening.
