Sharp of mind for her 100 years, up to date on current events and Cardinal baseball, never missing a game from the time she rode a street car for a quarter on Ladies Day in 1942. June worked at Midwest Curtain from 1935-1941. In 1944 she ran a lathe making ‘O’ rings for torpedo’s. June Married her husband of 59 years in 1939. They enjoyed dancing to the Tommy Dorsey Band, in later years playing cards with friends and bingo. She was a loving mother, loved her family and pets. She enjoyed sewing, needle point, painting and redecorating her home. After child rearing years she worked for 18 years in the accounting department at Star Petroleum. Then retired with her husband. She was a vibrant life force, who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
