Paul Ervin Thiemann, 89 years of age, passed from this life Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 in Springfield, MO.
He was born in 1928 to Ervin and Esther (Schroeder) Thiemann. He was one of six brothers including Harvey, Wesley, Omar, Randy and Melvin.
Paul served his country in the United States Army for several years in the Korean War. He was Honorably Discharged in 1952. After leaving the Army, he drove for North American Van Lines for over 50 years and received many awards for his dedication, work ethic and loyalty.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth Thiemann, to whom he was married for more than fifty years; his parents Ervin and Esther Thiemann; as well as three of his five brothers: Wesley "Wess", Randy and Melvin.
He is survived by his daughter Deborah Mayhan and her husband, Matt Mayhan; grandsons Aaron Marsh and his wife Erica, Christopher Marsh and his wife Giselle, and Clinton Pamperien; great-grandchildren Riley Marsh, Blaine Marsh, and Reif Marsh. He also leaves two brothers, Harvey Thiemann of O'Fallon, MO and Omar Thiemann and his wife Ann of Arlington, TX; plus several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Paul will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A committal service with full military honors was held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at 12:00PM. Arrangements were handled by Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. DeGraffenreid-Wood-Crematory in Springfield, MO.
