      TROY, MO, August 8, 2022 – Four charitable organizations were each awarded a $5,000 “Sharing Success” grant by Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) and CoBank. The recipients of the 2022 grants are Anne’s Anchor, New Melle Sports & Recreation (NMSR), The Sparrow’s Nest, and Warren County Literacy.

JoAnn Romaine passed away on May 7, 2020 at the age of 81.

She was the beloved wife of Robert "Bob" Romaine. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Romaine; son, Randy R. (Monica) Hoff of Wentzville, MO; daughter, Mary Jo (Mark) Ruff of Wentzville, MO; six grandchildren and nine great‑grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Leo J. Peine, mother, Frances J. Peine nee Glosemeyer, brothers, Orville A. Peine and Larry Peine, sisters, Jane Blackwell and Leora Adams.           She loved gardening, especially taking care of flowers, traveling and reading books. JoAnn enjoyed crocheting and donated many afghans to different organizations over the years. She took great pleasure in spending time with her friends, family, and especially her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation (s):  Monday, May 11, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, P.O Box 248, Wentzville, Missouri 63385. Funeral  Tuesday, May 12, 2020, 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment: St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
