Edward Raymond Sprock, 86, of Laddonia, MO, passed away October 29, 2020 at his home.
Mr. Sprock was born in Jefferson County, Missouri, the son of Rudolph Martin and Marie Josephine Berry Sprock. He married Gertrude Mary Haarmann in Wentzville on June 9, 1956 and she preceded him in death on May 9, 2019.
Survivors include: two sons, Mark (Karen) Sprock of Santa Fe and Paul (Malissa) Sprock of Laddonia; four daughters, Julie (David) Troesser of Rush Hill, Tina (Danny) Hubert of Bowling Green, Gina (Bruce) Kuda of Russellville and Amanda (Michael) McCurdy of Middletown; one sister, Elaine George of Wentzville; eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Tim Sprock and one brother, Kenneth Sprock.
Mr. Sprock was a lifetime area resident and served our country honorably in the U.S. Navy from March of 1956 to November of 1957 and obtained the rank of engine man fireman. He was a farmer and a member of St. John Catholic Church, Missouri Farm Bureau and several truck pulling associations. He enjoyed farming, truck pulling, coon hunting and carpenter work. His proud moment was winning the Illinois State Fair Truck pull in 1993.
Pallbearers were John Sprock, Matthew Sprock, Adam Sprock, Chris Troesser, Phillip Troesser, Andrew Sprock, Luke Hubert, Jacob Kuda, Seth Kuda and Chase McCurdy. Honorary Pallbearers were Suzette Morris, Rachel Crabtree, Denise Hoag, Chrisanne Poor, Jessica Jennings, Laci Kraft, Katelyn McCurdy and Megan McCurdy.
Visitation: Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Laddonia with funeral Mass immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Laddonia cemetery.
