Are you starting to make your plans for the summer? St. Charles County Parks offer a variety of camps for children of all ages and interests, including nature, art, history and sports. These dynamic programs are designed to unlock curiosity and creativity while enjoying St. Charles County parks. Following are the camps scheduled for this summer:

 

Nature Camp at Quail Ridge Park

Explore the outdoors during a week-long nature camp at Quail Ridge Park! This half-day camp allows young campers to discover and observe nature using hands-on experimental activities in a safe and friendly environment. Campers use sensory awareness as well as science to interact with their environment. Hiking, plant and animal identification, water ecology, and conservation are just some of the topics that will be covered during this adventure! These half-day camps are designed for children ages 7-11 for the first session and ages 10-13 for the second session. Cost is $75 per person. Pre-registration is required. The same topics are covered in both sessions. No dual registration is allowed.

  • June 3-7, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at Quail Ridge Park – ages 10-13
  • June 10-14, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at Quail Ridge Park – ages 7-11
 
Camp Kinetic

Camp Kinetic

Would you like to get your kids out of the house for a week this summer? Camp Kinetic is a week-long day camp for children ages 6-12 at St. Charles County Kinetic Park. Activities include sports, outdoor games, an age-appropriate movie at the Town Square Movie Theatre and special guests. Some activities will be divided by age group (6-8 and 9-12). The fee of $120 includes a T-shirt and a water day on Friday. Campers need to bring their own lunch and plenty of water. Pre-registration is required.

  • June 3-7, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kinetic Park
  • June 10-14, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kinetic Park
  • June 17-21, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kinetic Park
  • June 24-28, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kinetic Park
 

Nature's Canvas: Art Camp

Find your inner Picasso at Nature’s Canvas: Art Camp. Young artists ages 11-14 discover nature’s beauty at Broemmelsiek Park and create art based on their findings. Campers use a variety of media such as paint, clay, fibers, and natural objects throughout this immersive art camp. Participants should dress to get messy and bring their imaginations. Bring a snack, sack lunch and water bottle. The fee of $100 includes all art supplies needed for camp. Pre-registration is required.

  • June 17-21, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Broemmelsiek Park
 
Heritage Museum Summer Camp

Heritage Museum Summer Camp

St. Charles was founded by French voyageur fur traders. What did their daily life look like? Campers ages 10-16 can find out at the St. Charles County Heritage Museum! Learn all about the day-to-day life of the fur trappers who settled in St. Charles 250 years ago. Campers get to participate in hands-on trades, campfire cooking, and more! Cost is $75 per person. Pre-registration is required.

  • July 8-12, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Heritage Museum
 
 
 

Daniel Boone Home Day Camp

Discover the frontier in new and exciting ways! Campers ages 11-17 travel back in time to 1830s Missouri and learn by doing during this interesting week-long camp. Campers participate in activities such as journal making, experiencing a 19th-century  schoolhouse lesson, working with period woodworking tools and fiber materials and much more. Each camper is involved with projects to benefit the site as well as making some take-home projects throughout the week. The camp fee of $150 includes several take-home projects throughout the week. Campers must bring a sack lunch each day. Pre-registration is required.
