Members of the Augusta Wine Trail, the first designated American Viticultural Area (AVA), invite you to attend their annual AVA anniversary weekend, June 22-23, 2019. Ticket holders will enjoy four experiences – four glasses of wine (3oz) and four food pairings with Montelle Winery, Augusta Winery, Noboleis Vineyards & Balducci Vineyards.
For the past 150 years, Missouri wineries have a history of producing some of the best wines that pair perfectly with a pleasant afternoon outdoors or an evening by the fire. Come out and taste the full flavor of the first-ever wine trail!
When German settlers arrived in this region in the 1800s, it reminded them of everything they loved about their homeland: the sweeping vistas and tree-covered slopes. These hard-scrabble few soon created a new way of life establishing vineyards and cozy farmsteads. Wine took on a major role in the local economy and community.
The Augusta Wine Trail was created to celebrate our shared location in the Augusta AVA, the first designed grape growing area in the country. The wines that come from this area are the centerpiece of what joins our four wineries together. And while wine is the centerpiece, what we create is the chance to preserve this tradition for generations to come.
