The Augusta Heritage Foundation is planning two very special events for their Tailgate Thursday’s on August 13 and August 27, 6-8pm.
On August 13, “go the (short) distance” and come enjoy a baseball-themed night as we watch the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Chicago White Sox in the historic “Field of Dreams” game taking place in Dyersville, IA, near where the movie was filmed 30 years ago. Wear your Cardinals gear to be entered into a drawing for a prize! A video feed will be playing the game so you can watch it while enjoying baseball-themed foods, including hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and Cracker Jack! Beverages will also be available for sale. Music will be by Pat Frank & The Gibson Girls. “If you build it, they will come!”
On August 27, back by popular demand, and as a follow-up to their debut in the Augusta area last year during the Harmonie Verein Augusta Ramble Series, the Wild Horse Creek Band performs their catchy originals as well as covers (sometimes with a twist) to familiar tunes. They are fabulous entertainers and we are excited to welcome them back again. Food and beverages will be available for sale. Make plans to join us for both of these fun-filled evenings!
