Boone Duden Historical Society along with William (Bill) Hart will host a travelogue that will feature guided tours of Missouri on two-lane highways, illustrated with photos from Bill’s collection. Staycation destinations will be highlighted and will point out places to visit, stay and eat, with one amazing feature, they are all owned by Missouri citizens. His goal is to help establish and nurture tourism to benefit Missourians.
Bill is a seventh-generation Missourian. His work for the Missouri Alliance for Historic Preservation and his passion for small-town and roadside Missouri has given him a wealth of knowledge about Missouri. He is also one of the founders of the Missouri Barn Alliance and Rural Network (MoBarn), advocating for barn and homestead preservation.
Please make plans to attend this free travelogue on Monday, July 19 at 7 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 60 St. Johannas Lane, Foristell (Cappeln), MO 63348.
The Boone-Duden Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of local history in Southern St. Charles County and Southeastern Warren County. Visit their website at www.boone-duden.com.
