Save the date and get ready to walk for a great cause. The Tom Shaw Foundations presents the Tom Shaw Freedom Walk for Charities and is co-sponsored by the St. Charles County Ambassadors and Tom Show Realtors.

The Charity Walk will begin on Sunday, October 15, at 9 a.m. and starts at Good News Brewery, 2886 S. Hwy 94, Defiance. To enter the walk, the cost is $25 if you pre-register and $30 at the event. On the day of the Walk look for the Tom Shaw Foundation Tent and bring your paid receipt, if you are preregistered, just sign in and receive your goodies. Please be at Good News Brewery by 8:30 a.m.​ The course will be roughly 2.5 miles, with fun patriotic displays along the marked course. Plenty of water will be available with volunteers along the way for you to count on.

​The 2023 Charity recipient is Caring for Kids. An organization dedicated to supporting children in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County who have urgent, unmet needs due to abuse, neglect, or being in an at-risk situation.

By collaborating closely with the St. Louis City and County Family Courts and other referring agencies, they address the immediate needs of these children, often within the crucial first 72 hours of request. They understand the significance of providing basic essentials, such as beds, bedding, clothing, and school supplies for those kids in need. Through their concerted efforts, they strive to ensure that these children receive the necessary support and resources they require to thrive in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.
