The theme for this year was "Favorite Country Song," and the winning float was decorated by members of St. John’s UCC Cappeln. Their favorite country song was "I Should’ve Been a Cowboy" by the late Toby Keith. They did an outstanding job on the float.
Numerous floats participated in this year's parade, tossing candy, popsicles, hot dogs (from PSB) and other goodies to the sizable crowd that lined the streets.
Congratulations to St. John’s UCC Cappeln for their winning float and a big thank you to Stan Wisdom for serving as this year’s Grand Marshal. We appreciate everyone who participated in the parade, and thank you to everyone who braved the heat and came out to enjoy the annual parade.
Grand Marshal, Stan Wisdom, the Commander of the New Melle VFW Post.
