On July 13th, Leroy and Beth Nadler hosted the 20th anniversary of the Henry Nadler family reunion at the historic Nadler Century Farm near Augusta, MO.
Henry and Martha (née Wissman) had six children: Verna Thoele, Esther Mallinckrodt, Walter, Harry, Hulda Ueltzen, and Raymond Nadler. Leroy is the fourth generation to occupy the house. The house was originally constructed in the late 1800s, and the front exterior appears relatively unchanged!
At age 98, Stella Nadler of New Melle was the oldest descendant attending the reunion. It was a warm but fun day of conversations, kids playing and sharing food. Everyone enjoyed the live music by Laura Unleashed, a project by paulO. (paulO is also the author of Tell It Like It Was stories featured on the FHA-Augusta Museum and the Boone Country Connection website. paulO has frequently consulted Leroy Nadler for local history.)
