The parade opened with the Honor Guard and a special remembrance for Pearl Harbor Day. The parade's Grand Marshal was John Lacy, the “Mayor” of Defiance. The parade featured over 50 entries that included a wide range of participants, including local residents, businesses, and organizations.
After the parade, St. Paul’s UCC in Defiance held a Chili, Soup, and Cookie Luncheon. In town, live music from Rock and Country Revue, featuring Ed Callison, Darren Hank, and Dawn Turlington, entertained the crowd as Santa visited with the kids. The sights and sounds of the local parade and festival were a great way to start the Christmas season.
The Defiance Merchants Association would like to thank all the sponsors and volunteers who helped in any way to make this a successful and merry 15th Annual Christmas Festival and Parade.
Below are pictures of the parade and festival.
