Dear Friends Foundation Supporters,
For more than five decades, the Friends Foundation (formerly The Friends of Emmaus) has had the privilege of supporting individuals with intellectual and physical challenges. Since 1972, we have walked alongside so many extraordinary people, sharing their triumphs, struggles, joys, and heartbreaks. Through it all, our mission has been sustained by volunteers' unwavering dedication, compassion, and love, which have truly been the heart and soul of this organization.
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share that, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have begun the process of dissolving The Friends Foundation. This is not a step we ever wished to take, and reaching this point in our journey has been profoundly difficult.
Even so, our commitment to the individuals we have served remains as strong as ever. Our volunteers and supporters continue to stand united in their desire to help those in need. Although the Foundation is dissolving, the spirit of our work will live on. Many of the events and efforts that have been meaningful to all of us will continue under the guidance of other dedicated organizations.
As we reflect on the past 54 years, we are filled with deep gratitude for every supporter, volunteer and friend who walked this journey with us. Your kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication have been the cornerstone of our work and the driving force behind all we have accomplished.
Thank you for giving your time, your hearts and your steadfast belief in our mission. Your support has made a lasting difference in countless lives. It has created a legacy of compassion that will continue far beyond the Foundation's life.
