Despite a chilly, muddy morning, more than 280 kids and parents took part in the festivities. The free event was open to children ages 0 to 10 and featured an egg hunt, face painting, games, and donuts with drinks. Eggs contained candy or prize tickets for bikes, scooters, games, and toys for all ages.
After the children's hunt, adults could join the 9th Annual Adult Hunt for a small donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
This event has become a cherished tradition. The New Melle Chamber of Commerce thanked New Melle Sports and Rec for hosting, the sponsors, and the donors—both businesses and individuals—who make it possible each year. Many volunteers work tirelessly to ensure its success, rain or shine.
Special thanks to the Easter Bunny, Savannah Roberts, the 2025 New Melle Festival Queen, and the Scouts from Troop 856 for filling the eggs with donated candy. Click here to view the Thank You flyer from the New Melle Chamber of Commerce.
A big thank you to everyone who braved the elements and helped make this another successful event.
