The 73rd New Melle Festival took place from June 11 to 13, offering fun activities and attractions for all ages. The theme was “Stars, Stripes and Small Town Pride.” Attendees enjoyed rides, Straatmann Feed Ag Land, exhibits, live music, a baby contest, the Festival Queen’s crowning, sand volleyball and cornhole tournaments, the famous gizzards and other food and drinks, and the popular parade.
A big thank you goes to the volunteers who help organize the festival each year. The event’s proceeds benefit New Melle Sports and Rec, making it their largest fundraiser annually. These funds support the operation of the excellent facilities and programs they provide each year.
From the parade to the contests, tournaments, food, music, and family activities, the 73rd New Melle Festival once again showed the strong community spirit that makes this annual tradition so special. See you next year!
