On behalf of all our County's 4-H youth who will benefit from Sunday's Dale Kolb Memorial Trap Shoot, I want to thank everyone for their time and generosity. We raised over $8,000, netting $5,500, to fund next year's program, keep costs low for our families, send kids to state competitions, and provide scholarships for our graduates. We also had over $2,500 in items donated this year for the program and the shoot.
First and foremost, thank you to the Daniel Boone Gun Club and the Kolb family. You both have provided amazing support for these kids over the years. Secondly, thank you, McCoy Construction & Forestry, for providing and cooking lunch this year. This is such a large task. To have it fully provided is a huge weight off the event organizers. We really appreciate your help.

Finally, we want to thank everyone who participated in the shoot itself. Ninety-eight individuals competed across 9 divisions, including 19 current 4-H members. Despite the wind keeping everyone's scores down, Ryan Greiwe was Champion of the shoot with a high score of 92. There was an epic shootout for 2nd place in D class with John Zumbehl coming out on top. Only Josie Keiser and John Zumbehl, current 4-H members, managed to run 25 straight. Their efforts ended with two hats that are no longer wearable!
