We hope that you had a Great Holiday season. Even though we are in the middle of the coldest part of winter, baseball and softball season is right around the corner. The Dutzow Community Club will be holding our 2022 signups over the next few months and we hope your family can join us for the upcoming season.

The New Melle Chamber of Commerce presented four scholarships in the amount of $1500 on June 24, at the Quarry Wine Garden. The president-elect of the Chamber, John Dickey, presented the awards.

Each year in art class, the fourth graders at Daniel Boone Elementary School in New Melle design a flag that can be chosen to fly at the school the next year. This year, a design by AJ Ferguson was selected to fly during the 2021-2022 school year. AJ is the son of Katherine and Austin Ferguson of Foristell. He loves being outdoors, hanging out with friends and neighbors, and going to the lake. Congratulations to AJ and all past winners of this contest. We look forward to seeing a new design flying high at the school each year.

On March 23, 2021, Sam Schmidt, son of Jody and Laura Schmidt of New Melle, set a St. Francis Borgia High School record previously held by David Ruether (Class of 1998) for the 100M.
