Hunt for Hunger Makes First Delivery to Food Pantry

David N., the fourth grade student who initiated the “Hunt for Hunger” campaign to help local food pantries, got to deliver 240 pounds of venison on Nov. 17th to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in New Melle. The donation was made possible via a partnership with the Share the Harvest Program and assistance from Dan’s Country Meats in New Melle. As of Nov. 17, over 500 pounds of donated deer meat had been delivered to various charities. David says thank you to all the hunters who donated deer to the program. As the hunting season continues, donations continue to be accepted.
