Employers Invited to Recruitment Challenges Breakfast Forum Jan. 31

In a time of historically low unemployment rates, many businesses are struggling to find workers.

To engage employers in a discussion of current trends and opportunities, a Recruitment Challenges Breakfast Forum will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the Missouri Job Center of St. Charles County, located at 212 Turner Boulevard in St. Peters.

Along with group discussion, a presentation on “Where Have All the Good Workers Gone – Adjusting in an Era of Full Employment” will be given by Scott Drachnik, Director of the St. Charles County Department of Workforce & Business Development.

In 2017, the Missouri Job Center of St. Charles County organized more than 130 hiring events and job fairs that attracted a total of 2,400 job-seekers.

“In the current era of full employment, some businesses are finding it harder and harder to find people. That trend is not going away anytime soon,” Drachnik says. “We want to offer some of the insights we are seeing after working with thousands of job-seekers and hundreds of businesses each year. Additionally, we will discuss some best practices and other recruitment opportunities with those who attend.”

Seating is limited for the Recruitment Challenges Breakfast Forum and pre-registration is required. Continental breakfast will be served at this free event.
