The Third Annual Wine Country Fest was held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 15-17 in and around Defiance.
The Festivities kicked off Friday evening with a Father -Daughter Dance at Sunflower Hill Farm; and for the adults, a "Meet the Locals" event at the Defiance Roadhouse.
Saturday's activities included a BBQ competition sanctioned by the St. Louis BBQ Association at Sugar Creek Winery and Vineyards. There was live music in the afternoon, and a Concert on the Hill Saturday evening. The Historic Daniel Boone Home also hosted a BBQ event in honor of Father's Day on Saturday.
The weekend capped off Sunday with a car show and Wine Country Market at Defiance Ridge Vineyards. Proceeds from the car show benefited the Focus Marines Foundation – a local organization that helps wounded warriors with the support they need after returning home.
Other businesses in the area also featured live music on Saturday and Sunday.
