University of Missouri Extension Nutrition and Health Education Specialist, Emily Barbee, has partnered with Thies Farm and Greenhouses to offer a Pickling Class on Wednesday, August 1, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Thies Farm and Greenhouses, 3200 Green Bottoms Road. Registrants will learn safe preservation methods to produce the highest quality canned foods. There will be hands-on experience with new recipes using the latest research, and registrants are asked to bring a quart-size canning jar with lid to go home with a jar of freshly canned pickles.
