Scenic Regional and St. Charles City-County Libraries recently entered into a reciprocal lending agreement. Beginning April 1, 2019, residents may check out materials from both library districts without paying a fee for a Library card.
Reciprocal lending agreements among neighboring library districts allow customers to borrow materials from participating libraries without paying non-resident fees. (Certain restrictions apply.) To get a St. Charles City-County Library card, Scenic Regional customers should visit any St. Charles City-County library branch and provide identification that displays a current address.
This cooperation between the two library districts offers residents access to even more library resources. For those who live, work, shop, or visit friends and family in either library service area, materials are accessible and conveniently located. St. Charles County residents that commute to Gasconade, Franklin, or Warren Counties are encouraged to visit the new or newly renovated Scenic Regional Libraries in Warrenton, Union, Sullivan, and Wright City and take advantage of their reciprocity status to borrow materials and use library facilities, all free of charge.
St. Charles City-County Library has reciprocal lending agreements with many libraries in the St. Louis Metro and surrounding areas. Visit myLibrary.org/reciprocity for more information.
