Fashion for Food May 5th at Wentzville UMC

Wentzville’s Not Jaded Boutique and Tea Room has teamed up with nonprofits Irembo US and Operation Backpack to provide a lovely “Fashion for Food” show to help raise money for hungry children in Rwanda and Wentzville.

This 2nd annual fashion show will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Wentzville United Methodist Church, 725 Wall St., Wentzville, MO. The show will feature over 30 models, young and old, wearing the latest spring fashions from Not Jaded.

Each $35 ticket will help provide food for Wentzville United Methodist Church’s Operation Backpack program that feeds children in the Wentzville School District on weekends. It will also provide money to purchase a monthly bag of rice and a bag of beans for families in Kigali Rwanda that struggle to provide enough food for their children to concentrate on their school work. Irembo US supports a Saturday Nutrition Program at the community center of Irembo Foundation, an NGO in Kigali, Rwanda. This weekly program feeds over 100 children on a very meager budget. It also provides educational tutoring and mentorship that promotes positive social behaviors.

Join us for a fun afternoon with a luncheon provided by Not Jaded Tea Room, Duke’s BBQ, and Ellbee’s General Store, a fabulous fashion show and handmade pottery by students of Amy’s Art Studio.

Irembo US mission: Irembo US works to offer the tools to maximize the potential of vulnerable youth in Rwanda and to ensure that all participating youth and their families have access to housing, education and health services.
