Thanks to all for your contributions to this year’s Augusta Community Food Drive. We are very grateful for your generosity. In total we donated $1500.00 and 24 large boxes of food and personal care products to the food pantries in Marthasville and New Melle. These items will go a long way in helping our neighbors.
Our community is very blessed to have everyone work together on such an important project. Even though the Augusta Community Food Pantry Collection is an annual event, pantry donations are needed year-round.
This year we are trying something a little extra. With community efforts we have constructed a 24/7 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) outdoor food pantry. It is located on the east side of the Ebenezer UCC Fellowship Hall, by the circle drive. The pantry is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Take what you need, leave what you can. Non-perishable food items, laundry detergents, cleaners, paper products, and personal hygiene items are acceptable. No glass containers please.
