Robin’s Nest on Katy Trail Becomes Tasting Room for Edelbrand Brandy

Robin’s Nest on the Katy Trail is pleased to announce it has become the official tasting room for Edelbrand Pure Distilling, and a designated stop on the The Missouri Craft Distillers Guild Trail.

Award-winning Edelbrand vinars (artisanal European-styled fruit brandies) are created in a small-batch distillery outside of Marthasville by Master Distiller, Martin Weber, and his wife, Lynn Delean-Weber. Each bottle is hand-crafted to bring out the delicate nature of each fruit’s essence (apple, grape, pear, plum, apricot, or cherry.)

Edelbrand vinars reflects the family’s Swiss-Romanisch heritage and their dedication to the mountain village tradition of producing single-batch spirits crafted completely by hand to bring out the pure essence of each fruit. In Europe, vinars is a traditional dry spirit sipped after dinner. There, the spirit enjoys considerable following for its natural properties in aiding digestion. In reality there are many ways and moments to enjoy these spirits – limited only by your imagination. Edelbrand vinars pairs well with cheeses, nuts, artisanal meats, fresh fruit, sorbets, desserts, and chocolate – the darker the better.

On July 27th, Martin and Lynn, and Robin and Todd White officially “Hung the Barrel” identifying Robin’s Nest on the Katy Trail as a stop along the Missouri Craft Distiller’s Guild Official Distillery Trail. Stop by to taste and select your favorite of these exquisite award-winning brandies. And pick up a  Missouri Spirits Expedition Guide to begin your travels to craft distilleries nestled in every corner of our beautiful state.

The Missouri Craft Distillers Guild was created to bring together Missouri’s craft distilleries and spread the message that from the northern border to the Bootheel, there are  incredible craft distilleries to be found and explored, each with its own unique character and flavors.
