CREC Employees Will Decorate & Sell Mini-Christmas to Benefit The Key Youth Center

Mini Christmas trees, decorated by employees at Cuivre River Electric Cooperative will be displayed and offered for purchase starting on Friday, December 13 through Monday, December 23. The available trees will be on display at both the co-op offices in Troy and Lake Saint Louis, and will sell for $20 each. The trees are a table top size, measuring about 18” high.

As a part of a co-op employee mini tree decorating contest, CREC team members who participated had an option of giving their tree to local retirement/nursing homes for the residents to enjoy during the Christmas season, or to donate their tree for sale to the public, with the proceeds to benefit The Key Youth Center. The Key is a community–driven, funded and managed organization that is dedicated to serving homeless youth in Lincoln County.

“Our employees had a wonderful time with the contest and wanted to spread their holiday cheer by giving back to the communities we serve,” said Human Resources Manager Brittany Burns.

Interested tree buyers may visit CREC’s Troy office at 1112 E. Cherry Street, or our Lake Saint Louis office at 8757 Hwy N. anytime during regular business hours to view the available trees. Sale of the trees is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and may be purchased on site by cash, check or credit card.
