On Friday, Dec. 6, as part of their 175th Anniversary Celebration, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Melle hosted a concert by The Choral Arts Singers. 26 vocalists, under the direction of Kimberly White and accompanied by pianist Sara Perkins Shroth, performed a wonderful collection of Christmas songs from around the world - some in the country’s native language.
The Choral Arts Singers are a group of volunteers who perform primarily in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. If you did not attend, you missed an excellent concert - on par with professionally recorded choirs.
Afterwards, all in attendance enjoyed refreshments and fellowship in the church hall. Special thanks to Barb Auping and Barry Luedloff for their work in making this event possible. It was an incredible show and a great way to celebrate the holiday season.
