The New Melle Passion Play depicts the story of the final days of Jesus Christ, from his triumphant entry into Jerusalem (Palm Sunday) to the Last Supper, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. The play is a non-denominational production that provides a great opportunity for Christian interaction and involvement for individuals and families of all ages.
There is a reason this community tradition has lasted nearly 40 years.Participants say, “It will renew your spirit, kick-start your faith, and add energy to your life.”
People of various skills and interests are needed – to fill speaking and non-speaking roles, to sing in the choir, to help with props and lighting, to help with stage construction and set up, or just to be on stage during crowd scenes. (Costumes provided!)
Everyone is welcome to join the production. No acting experience is needed for stand-in or crowd people. All ages needed. Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Performances are Saturdays March 28 and April 4 at 7 p.m. and Sundays March 29 and April 5 at 2:00 and 4:30 p.m.
