St. Charles City-County Library Extends COVID-19 Closure

In an effort to combat the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the St. Charles City-County Library has extended the time of our temporary closure to align with recommendations from the St. Charles County Department of Public Health and area school district closings:

  • Library facilities will be closed to the public until at least April 27.
  • All in-person classes and events have been canceled until at least June 1.
  • Library materials will now be due on June 1.
  • Book drops are unavailable, so enjoy your books, music, movies, and everything else until branches reopen. Holds waiting for pickup will remain on the shelf until then.

We miss serving our customers in person, but myLibrary.org is always open. Library staff are still available to answer your questions and help you access the eLibrary. Contact us using the “Ask Us” chat feature on our website or through social media channels. In addition, we are in the process of creating virtual classes and events that can be accessed “live” online! Stay tuned for more information.

Are you learning a language or reading books using our eLibrary? Have you discovered something new on our website? Are you enjoying "Learning On-the-Go" videos from our YouTube channel? Tell us how you're using #myLibraryatHome on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

As we continue to monitor recommendations from health and government officials, we thank you for your patience and understanding.
