St. Paul’s Truly “Shines”

Submitted by St. Paul Lutheran Church

St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Melle participated in the statewide “Shine” servant event of the Missouri District LCMS.  We give thanks to these 14 team members for their willingness to send the light of Christ out into the community:

Vicki Zuhone, Rick Pohlmann, Annie Schneider, JoAnn Hammel, Nancy Eckardt, Jane Nadler, Diana Eschenbrenner, Nancy Baker, Missy Motz, Joyce Schiermeier, Marian Wildschuetz, Sandy Schmidt, Georgia Diederich, and Jackie Diederich.

Our “Write-a-Thon” mission was to deliver 240 notes of inspiration and comfort to the Assisted Living residents and 90 gift bags to those in the Skilled Care Unit at Breeze Park Lutheran Senior Services – Weldon Springs.

This was St. Paul’s first hands-on project since the pandemic, and it was a splash!  News of our Church’s effort has made some waves beyond our community, not to mention the hundreds of folks it reached and touched with the love of Jesus and his amazing gospel!  What will St. Paul’s do next?!
