About Lake Sherwood Estates—Lake Sherwood Estates is a private self-governing lake community with a community member board of directors and active volunteer committees. We seek to sustain our infrastructure and amenities through strong volunteer participation of members supported by a modest professional staff which administers, maintains, and secures our community. We rely heavily on community members for mutual respect and support of our board, committees, and each other to sustain a safe, beautiful, and fun place to be. About the CAI—The Community Associations Institute (CAI) is the only national organization dedicated to fostering vibrant, responsive, competent community associations. Our mission is to assist community associations in promoting harmony, community, and responsible leadership. We believe that by giving board members, managers, and homeowners the knowledge to better run their associations, they can turn “owners” into “neighbors,” increasing harmony, and leading to more prosperous, safer communities.
