The Venue at Wildflower Ridge Coming to Marthasville this Fall
The Venue at Wildflower Ridge is a new 10,000 sq. ft. event space built from the ground up by New Melle native Kate (Haller) Willming. The venue will accommodate 320 guests with plenty of room to spare and will overlook 20 acres of wildflowers on this 300+ acre farm. This new venue is not just for weddings but will also be available for showers, birthday parties, reunions, holiday parties or any event you would like to celebrate. Wildflower Ridge is set to open in October 2022.
Kate grew up on the outskirts of New Melle and attended Daniel Boone Elementary School and St. John's UCC. High school sweethearts Kate, and her husband Doug, never miss a chance to be involved in the community. Together they have sacrificed and saved up for this moment. They have spent countless hours at the kitchen table, planning and preparing to bring this dream into reality. Kate is the Venue Director, and Kate's sister-in-law Hannah Bailey joins Kate in this endeavor as the Event Director. Hannah is dedicated and detail-oriented and has a wide range of experience in the wedding industry to help make your special occasion your own.
The Venue at Wildflower Ridge is set up to help clients realize their unique and personal visions for weddings and special events. They are in the business of creating experiences you and your guests will remember forever. White shiplap walls and black fixtures will fill the space, so whichever color you choose for your event will make the perfect pop! Features include 25' arch top windows and a 360-degree skylight of transom windows overlooking the wildflower farm. It also offers a state-of-the-art caterer's prep kitchen, a large stage for a DJ, a head table, indoor or outdoor ceremony space and the bar will be one of a kind.
Kate said she decided to build the Venue at Wildflower Ridge because she wanted our area to have a unique gathering place for all the special events in the area, "We want to be part of our community and make new friends!" She believes there have been many unknowns in the last couple of years, but you need to be brave, take risks, and do the things that make you happy. There will be a grand opening this fall.
