Painters and Paintings from the New Melle "Paint Out"

By Kathy Miller

The Augusta Plein Air Art Festival held a New Melle "Paint Out" on Thursday, April 28. You may have seen the flags around town on Thursday, they were to mark the locations of properties that the artists were invited to paint. There were 52 artists that came to town from all over the country. Some of the artists have been coming since the first Plein Air 19 years ago.

The artists were invited to bring their paintings from the day to The Quarry Wine Garden that evening for judging and sale. There was a great turnout from the community for this event. To see the winners from the Paint Out click here.
