On June 5, 2022, the Historic Augusta History Museum was filled with incredible photos, treasures and interesting stories shared by many for the 1st Annual Finding Augusta's Roots-Show and Tell. What a great day! Some of the contributors were: Ellen Knoernschild, Antone Finder, Pat Baravik, Brenda Ford, Jeff Toedebush, David Klaas, Daniel Hollander, Judy Renner and Randal Oaks.
Tours of the museum were given (to our surprise; many were local residents that have lived in Augusta for many years and had never visited.) If you haven’t been or it has been a while, please stop by and see us at the Historic Augusta History Museum at the August Sehrt House, Webster St, Augusta, MO. The museum is open May through August on the first Sunday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. or by appointment. For more information, to become a member or donate, visit https://www.augustamomuseum.com or call (636) 448-4034.
The Friends of Historic Augusta, a group dedicated to preserving historic buildings and antiques, would like to thank those who shared, participated and attended the Show & Tell and made this first year a huge success. We look forward to what fascinating stories and treasures we get to see and hear about next year.
