The Thiemann-Tidd VFW Post 5651 held a Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 30, 2022. Post Commander Stan Wisdom led the ceremony; Julie Kelly sang the National Anthem; Father Tom Miller gave the invocation and closing prayer. The ceremony had a great turnout from the community.

The Boy Scouts & Cub Scouts of Troop 856 led the Pledge of Allegiance and, along with VFW Color Guard members, posted the Colors. Following the indoor ceremony, there was a rifle salute, wreath laying and flag folding presentation at the monument outside, where all deceased members of Post 5651 are commemorated, followed by the solemn playing of Taps. A complimentary lunch was served after the ceremony. Thanks to all who attended the annual Memorial Day Ceremony.
