On October 29, New Melle Sports and Rec, New Melle 411 and the community came together and held a fabulous 2nd Annual Halloween Party. The crowd enjoyed a trunk or treat contest, chili cook-off, adult kickball game, raffles, the Blondin Professional Real Estate Pumpkin Glow and more.
The winners from the evening's trunk or treat contest were 1st - Cookie Monster by the Sanderson Family, 2nd - McDonald's Theme by The Wunderles, and 3rd - Peoples Savings Bank. The chili cook-off winners were 1st - Cori Mulligan Simpkins, 2nd - Andrea Johnson Carlstrom and 3rd - Larry Winkler. The winning team from the Kickball Game was The Witches! - Team Captain Casee Trapp.

There was an outstanding turnout and support from the community for this Halloween event, which is sure to become a tradition for years to come. Over 250 canned good items were donated the for St. Vince de Paul Food Pantry.
