On Saturday, January 21, St. John’s UCC Cappeln held a fundraiser to raise money for the youth programs at the Church. There were 12 entries for the chili cook-off and 12 desserts for the silent auction, including rhubarb, pecan, apple and chocolate pies, cupcakes, brownies and other delicious entries. There was a great turnout from the community, and over $1000 was raised for the youth programs.

Winners of the chili cook-off were (Above) -  Michel Webbink – spicy chili, Barb Schmidt – white chili and Jodi Repke - non-spicy chili. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to everyone who participated in helping support the youth programs at St. John’s. 

St. John’s UCC is excited to announce that the Ignite Youth Program is resuming on Wednesday, February 1, at 6:30 p.m. and will meet every other Wednesday evening. The program is for children pre-K (must be potty-trained) through high school. Pre-registration is not required.
