The “Best of Augusta” Photo Contest is back, and we are looking for your best shots of Augusta. A perfect chance will be during the Plein Air Art Festival coming April 20 - 29.
Painters and photographers – what do they have in common? They both use creativity in their art. They are aware of the lighting, color and composition of the subject. The Augusta Plein Air provides an opportunity for photographers and painters to work together to take the perfect shot. The Augusta Plein Air events and Photo Contest guidelines are on the Town website, www.townofaugustamo.org. 

Another idea is to find a unique perspective of something in the Town of Augusta that highlights its special characteristics.

All ages are invited to enter the “Best of Augusta” Photo Contest. Print out a 4 x 6-inch photo, and complete the photo contest entry form (from the website.) Mail to: “Best of Augusta” Photo Contest, PO Box 42, Augusta, MO 63332. The postmark deadline is May 31, 2023.

The Photo Contest prizes include a gift certificate from Halcyon Spa and a gift certificate from Quaint, Cozy & Quiet Airbnb. Judging will be held shortly after the deadline, and the winners will be announced on the Town of Augusta website. The winning photos will be displayed at the Augusta Library and in the July Boone Country Connection.
