The Augusta Ramble concert series is proud to feature Franklin/Nashville-based Spanish American Javier Mendoza on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the historic Harmonie Verein, 5333 Hackman Rd.Mendoza performs songs in English and Spanish that will hit your heart like a freight train and get you up and dancing.

He spent more than 20 years in St. Louis before moving to Nashville in 2013, where he started performing as “Hobo Cane,” a name derived from his frequent travels and his mother's last name Cañas, or Canes in Spanish. Mendoza was voted by The River Front Times as Best Pop, World, Latin, and Rock Artist, in addition to Best Vocalist. In Nashville, Lightning 100, the number one independent radio station in the US, voted him Spotlight Artist & Artist of The Week, and they have featured his singles “Let Go” and “Hold on To Nothing.”
He has performed with the likes of Willy Nelson, Duran Duran, Lori McKenna, Luke Laird, and Los Lobos, to name a few. A former Warner-Chappell writer, he has written for artists such as Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias. He recently wrote with Dashboard Confessional and Matt Odmark of Jars of Clay.
Mendoza is a true artist. His concerts are a journey filled with introspective acoustic songs one minute and rock, Latin and funk another, all in one evening.
