The New Melle VFW Post 5651 has earned All-State Honors for the 2022-2023 year. This is the first time our post has been awarded this honor in over twenty years. To be in contention for All-State honors, a Post must meet minimum criteria in 13 different categories, including membership, community service and Veteran’s assistance. It requires extensive filing, audits, reports, and mandatory District meeting attendance and is difficult to achieve.
Post 5651 has also earned the coveted All-American Post designation for the second year in a row. This award goes to top-performing VFW Posts globally to recognize those achieving the highest standards. They are considered the “best of the best.”
This year is the first time in history, our Post has achieved both State and All-American honors! This is an excellent achievement and we should all be very proud. A year ago, our members set the bar very high and were determined to achieve this goal. We knew we had the knowledge, skill set and organization to do it. This goal was achieved with the help and support of our exceptional Auxiliary members, as well as the support from our community. We pride ourselves in having what, we believe, is the best Auxiliary in the state.
Help America’s Veterans, please continue to support our Post. No one does more for Veterans than the VFW. Thanks to all who contributed to helping us reach these goals.
