Augusta Community Rallies for Area Food Pantries
Every year, the Augusta, Missouri area churches and organizations come together for an annual food drive.  L to R - Diane Pieper, Robert Aholt, Debbie Smith, Jan Mallinckrodt, and Ken Daming This year they raised cash donations of $1,147 plus 24 boxes of nonperishable food items. The drive supports the Augusta Community Outdoor Food Pantry, St. Vincent de Paul Pantry in New Melle, and The Southern Warren & St. Charles County Food Pantry in Marthasville. Ebenezer UCC, Immaculate Conception, Christ Lutheran, True Vine Fellowship & the Mid-America Buddhist Association sponsored the collection. The Augusta Community Food Pantry collection is an annual event, so watch for collection cans and food boxes starting next spring. We are deeply grateful to the local businesses that allowed collection cans to be used for donations and to all who donated items, money and time to make the Food Drive successful. |
