The Red Beauty Salon Ribbon Cutting September 22

By Kathy Miller - This past August, The Red Beauty Salon, owned by Sarah Hayek, moved to a new location in the New Melle Town Square. The Red Beauty Salon outgrew its space at Catala House and has expanded. The new location is conveniently located at 30 West Hwy D, Suite 106, in between the New Melle Baking Company and the Post Office.

The Red Beauty Salon is celebrating its grand opening on Friday, September 22. Join in the ribbon cutting at 9 a.m and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. stop by and say hello, save 15% off products, book your appointments, enjoy some light refreshments and check out the new salon. Sarah and her team of helpers did a tremendous job getting the salon ready for her to open so quickly. The salon offers cuts, color, hair extensions and much more. Sarah and her team can also come to you for special occasions. You can book your appointments online at theredbeautysalon.com or call 636-888-0255.

Sarah's experience in the industry spans over 20 years, not only as a stylist, but also as an educator. She worked for Proctor & Gamble and was able to travel the world educating stylists, and still works part-time with Wella as an educator. This has been and is still Sarah’s favorite part of her job. Sarah understands the importance of the training required to become an outstanding stylist. She is excited to share her knowledge as new stylists come to work in the salon. Sarah currently has one other stylist working with her, Jennifer Wildschuetz, and is looking to hire two additional stylists. Sarah, and her family, moved here from Iowa seventeen years ago and currently live in Defiance. While attending events around the area, Sarah met Carla Brakensiek, owner of Catala House. At the time, Carla was getting ready to expand and Sarah joined her. Sarah had been taking time off to raise her family and wanted to go back part-time, but that never happened, she had so many clients wanting appointments she worked full time from the start. Sarah hated turning away customers and knew it was time for her to expand to her own space.

When I talked to Sarah, she expressed her gratitude to the community, “I am excited to be involved in this wonderful community and I am fortunate to have so many supporters. I am grateful that I am able to give back to this outstanding community.”

Please join Sarah and Jennifer on September 22 and welcome them to the new location. See the enclosed flyer for more details, or visit www.theredbeautysalon.com.
