The New Melle Fire Protection District announced the top three winners of the first Annual Pumpkin People contest. The winner with 210 votes was Straatmann Feed's – Harvest Moon. Straatmann Feed will receive two dozen donuts from the New Melle Baking Company, delivered by the NMFPD.

Second place with 182 votes goes to the New Melle Animal Hospital,

and third place with 113 votes goes to the Hunter Jumper Barn.

The NMFPD would like to thank everyone for participating, whether you created a display or simply voted for your favorite (yes, all 700 of you.) We also thank Modkar Farms for donating pumpkins and straw to the fire station displays.

The NMFPD is excited to make next year bigger and better and is proud of the district community as they come together and show off their festive spirit.
