OPEN FORUM
Each person addressing the Board of Aldermen shall give his/her name and address. Remarks shall be addressed to the Board as a whole and not to any individual member and no question shall be asked any individual member except through the presiding officer. No person other than the Aldermen and the person having the floor shall be permitted to enter into discussion without the permission of the presiding officer.

FINANCE REPORT
1. June 2024 Balance Sheets

INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES
The Planning and Zoning Commission approved and recommends to the Board of Aldermen to adopt Bill #499 -Ordinance #484 – Title IV Land Use, Chapter 405 Zoning Ordinance, Article IV Zoning District Regulations, the addition of classification of “R-1E”, (with typo corrections).

Bill #499 -ORDINANCE #484 – An Ordinance of the City of New Melle, Missouri, to adopt Section 105.153, Zoning Classification “R-1E” to the Municipal Ordinances of the City of New Melle, Missouri.

ENGINEERING REPORT
1. Mill Street/Schutzen Sidewalk status, Easement Acquisitions
2. Review Pay Application #2 submitted by Cochran Engineering for Mill Street and Peter Street (Phase 2) and Schutzen St. Sidewalk, submitted for Karrenbrock Construction. BOA approval for payment
3. Status of Foristell Rd. Improvement Construction Plans.

OLD BUSINESS
1. Damaged Entrance Ramp replacement – waiting on (2) additional bids
2. Code Enforcement land maintenance and general trash clean-up has been addressed. An invoice to the land owner for brush cutting will be sent as after several notifications, the City employed a lawn maintenance crew to cut brush on unoccupied property on Hwy Z.

NEW BUSINESS
1. The culvert on Foristell Rd. at the New Melle Lakes Park Location needs to be repaired. The City will issue an emergency repair directive to fix the culvert location.
2. The brush/trees along Foristell Rd. need to be trimmed. The City will contact PWSD#2 for the timeline for the 30” transmission line construction schedule to see if brush/tree trimming needs to be completed sooner or later.
3. The frayed rope on the flagpole finally broke beyond repair. A new rope has been ordered. Karrenbrock Construction will assist in replacing the rope with their high-lift.

The next Board of Aldermen Meeting will be Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at City Hall, 145 Almeling St., 7:00 p.m.
