The City of New Melle will hold its Regular Board of Aldermen Meeting on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 6 p.m. Please note, this is a change to the usual date and time and this meeting will precede the P & Z Meeting at 7 p.m.

The following is the tentative agenda for the meeting.

OPEN FORUM

Each person addressing the Board of Aldermen shall give his/her name and address. Remarks shall be addressed to the Board as a whole and not to any individual member and no question shall be asked any individual member except through the presiding officer. No person other than the Aldermen and the person having the floor shall be permitted to enter into discussion without the permission of the presiding officer. 

FINANCE REPORT

1. Third Quarter Balance Sheets - (there are no October Balance Sheets available at this time.) 

INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES

BILL #480 – ORDINANCE 465 – AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEW MELLE, MISSOURI CALLING FOR A MUNICIPAL ELECTION ON APRIL 4, 2023, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING CERTAIN MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS 

ENGINEERING REPORT

1. Review Bids for Tree Trimming Contract.
2. Review Bids for Utility Excavating, and/or Emergency Service Contract.
3. Review Lombardo Homes latest plat proposal. Lombardo has provided a plat proposal for annexation, but have not submitted an Application for Voluntary Annexation or an Application for Re-Zoning. 

OLD BUSINESS

1. Steve Migneco with Absolute Computer Solutions will clean up our computer for a one-time quote, and provide monthly maintenance and antivirus software for $20/month. He initially sold the current system to the city and is familiar with the applications the city uses. The Board will need to vote to move forward with this proposal. 

NEW BUSINESS

1.   Discussion for city Christmas Decoration and placement.
2.   Review 2023 Budget for the City of New Melle, Ordinance to be a December Agenda Item. Set a Work Session for the 2023 Budget if necessary.
3. Reminder that the Chamber of Commerce will have their Country Christmas Saturday, November 26, at New Melle Sports and Recreation beginning at 3:30 p.m. The city will provide cookies and punch – same as last year. 

The next Board of Aldermen Meeting Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at City Hall, 145 Almeling St., 7:00 p.m.
