With fall hunting seasons upon us, the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) reminds hunters that now is the time to sharpen their shooting skills, sight in their rifles, and pattern their shotguns.

Visitors will enjoy a variety of interactive learning experiences at this pollinator festival.

As insect pollinators like monarch butterflies flit from plant to plant in search of food, they spread pollen crucial to the reproduction of their host plants.

Join the Wentzville Community Historical Society on September 25 at 7 p.m. at the Wentzville Community Club, 500 W Main Street, Wentzville. Doors open at 6 p.m. This year's theme is "America's 250th." Tables of eight are $200, and tickets can be purchased at the WCHS Museum or on eventbrite.com. Outside food and beverages are welcome.

The Augusta History Museum volunteers invite you to join them for Kids Day on September 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the museum, 275 Webster Street. Bring the family and spend the day playing games and enjoying snacks. Take a tour of the museum and learn about Augusta's history.

The New Melle VFW Post 5651 and the auxiliary are hosting their 1st Annual Mouse Races on Saturday, October 17, at 555 Foristell Rd. The VFW welcomes the public, but attendees must be 21 or older.

Mark your calendars. The Greater Augusta Chamber of Commerce will host the Augusta Bottoms Festival—formerly known as the Augusta Bier Bottoms Festival—on November 7 from 12 to 5 p.m. This year’s event will showcase local breweries, wineries, and distilleries.

Connections happen every day at the Library, whether it is a reader connecting with a book or strangers connecting with each other at a program. But some of the most powerful connections happen because of the Library’s community partnerships. Let’s highlight some of them below!

On Friday, October 2, New Melle Sports and Rec (NMSR) and the New Melle Chamber of Commerce (NMCC) will host a joint golf tournament at Warrenton Golf Course. Tee time is 8 a.m.

On Sunday, September 13, the Knights of Columbus will host its 19th Annual Journey for Charity Tractor Cruise. The cruise features two routes, Southern and Northern.

On Saturday, September 26, please consider joining St. Vincent de Paul for its annual “Walk for the Poor” at the Quail Ridge Park Group Picnic Area. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with coffee and donuts. The walk starts at 10 a.m. The walk is free to join, but donations are greatly appreciated.
