See Katy Trail State Park on a tram tour! Senior citizens can experience the Katy Trail from the comfort of a tram coach during the Tuesdays on the Trail Tours. The tram tours are round-trip and last approximately two hours. A variety of routes offer visitors a chance to see stretches of the trail they might not otherwise experience. Each tour will host approximately 50 people. An interpretive guide with a PA system will provide a presentation on the history of the Katy Trail and commentary on the local natural and cultural history along the trail. Snacks and bottled water are provided to each participant.
Below are the dates and locations for the remaining 2026 tram tours. Registration for each tour will open on the first Tuesday of the month prior to the tour date. Remaining Tour Dates and Routes: Tue, Sep 8: St. Charles to Machens and back; Wed, Sep 9: St. Charles to Machens and back; Tue, Oct 13: Treloar to Peers and back. This tour of the trail's "Country Store Corridor" will include stops at the Peers Store and the Ted and Pat Jones Welcome Center at the Treloar Mercantile; Wed, Oct 14: Augusta to Matson and back.
