MoDOT reschedules start of Bryan Road bridge closure over Interstate 70 to Monday, June 17

ST. CHARLES COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has tentatively rescheduled the start of the Bryan Road bridge closure over Interstate 70 to Monday, June 17. This closure originally was set to begin on Monday, June 3. All work is weather permitting.

Both the northbound and southbound directions of Bryan Road over I-70 will be closed for bridge rehabilitation.

The start of the bridge closure was pushed back to allow crews to mobilize and accelerate the work on the Bryan Road bridge, potentially shortening the closure duration. The bridge is expected to reopen by mid-August.

During this closure, the I-70 ramps will remain open. Bryan Road traffic will be detoured to I-70 to make a U-turn at either Lake St. Louis Boulevard or Route K/Main Street. I-70 lanes at the Bryan Road bridge will also be closed during off-peak times for bridge painting.

The Bryan Road bridge rehabilitation includes partial removal and replacement of the bridge driving surface, removal and replacement of the bridge approaches, and replacing the bridge expansion joints.

This work is part of an I-70 bridge rehabilitation program of 12 bridges along Interstate 70 in St. Charles County: https://www.modot.org/70-bridge-rehabilitation-st-charles.
