Moscow Mills Bridge Available for Reuse

The Moscow Mills Bridge, located at the end of County Road 814 in Lincoln County, will be impacted by highway improvements in the future, and because it is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, local governments, historical societies or other interested groups may have the opportunity to obtain the bridge for adaptive reuse purposes.

Karen Daniels, with the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Historic Preservation Department, said the bridge was built in 1885 over the Cuivre River by Raymond and Campbell. The bridge is 215 feet long and is comprised of 177 feet pin-connected Pratt through trusses two girder approach spans. A flyer with details about the bridge is attached to this news release.

MoDOT’s Historic Preservation Sections is now accepting proposals for the relocation and reuse of the bridge or its components until January 31, 2020. More information about this bridge, and proposal guidance, may be found online at http://www.modot.org/freebridges/.
